American Cast Iron Pipe Company manufactures ductile iron pipe, spiral-welded steel pipe and electric-resistance-welded steel pipe for the oil and gas industries. American produces API Line Pipe in diameters ranging from 10 3/4″ to 24″ in grades up to X-80 with maximum wall thickness of up to 0.625″. American’s Spiral-Welded Steel Pipe is produced in lengths up to 80′ and diameters up to 144″. American’s Spiral-Welded Steel Pipe can produce yield strengths up to 70,000 psi with wall thicknesses up to 1″.
Berg Steel Pipe specializes in large diameter pipe production for oil and gas transmission. Berg produces 240,000 tons of 3RB Linepipe each year in its Panama City facility. Their 3RB process includes a straight seam with double submerged arc welded pipe manufactured by three roll bending. Berg also produces 180,000 tons of Spiral pipe each year in its Mobile facility. Their Spiral pipe is produced using helical seams with double submerged arc welded pipes.
Dura-Bond Pipe produces API straight seam DSAW pipe in diameters ranging from 24” to 42”. Their large diameter pipe comes in grades up to X-80, in lengths of up to 80’. Dura-Bond’s DSAW pipe is produced with less weld per lineal foot, a process resulting in fewer opportunities for failure in high pressure environments.
